Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in the North East Locality Glasgow City. As a key member of the Prescribing Team, you will play a vital role in promoting and implementing cost-effective and evidence-based prescribing within specific GP practices and Care Homes across NHS Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with GPs and primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care.
  • Deliver the pharmacotherapy service as part of the GP contract and provide an important function in supporting patients with their medicines.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective and evidence-based prescribing initiatives within GP practices and Care Homes.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy teams to ensure seamless delivery of pharmacy services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy Technician qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in primary care or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and IT skills.
  • Ability to influence and affect change.
