Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Steel Connexions Limited, a specialist recruitment company dedicated to the structural steelwork industry.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience estimating within the Structural Steel industry and be familiar with working on large scale, multi-storey projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and produce tenders for Structural Steel and Cladding construction projects in an accurate, detailed and timely manner to secure profitable work orders.
  2. Work collaboratively with estimating management, production management, site management and company directors to achieve project goals.
  3. Carry out material take offs, estimating all required labour, materials and equipment costs (including MEWPs and Crane costs).
  4. Liaise internally and externally as required, to ensure accurate pricing.
Requirements:
  1. A degree in Quantity Surveying.
  2. Minimum of 5 years estimating experience in the Structural Steel industry.
  3. High level of familiarity with the UK Steel industry.
  4. Excellent numerical, analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Strong leadership capabilities.
  6. Ability to work in an office-based environment.
