Job Description

**Management Accountant - Financial Strategist**

Cherry Professional is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team as a Financial Strategist. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare monthly management accounts for various divisions, including detailed analysis and interpretation of financial performance.
  2. Reporting and Insights: Report planned and actual performance effectively, ensuring the senior management team fully understands the financial data.
  3. Financial Modelling and Advice: Provide accurate and timely financial information, analysis, and insights to support decision-making and inform budgeting and forecasting processes.
  4. Cost Management and Efficiency: Identify and implement cost management initiatives and efficiency improvements.
  5. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Collaborate with the Head of Finance to enhance the quality and effectiveness of financial reports and management information.
  6. Project Financial Management: Produce project/operational cash flow forecasts for major projects.
  7. Financial Reconciliation and Audit: Own and reconcile project balance sheets, including WIP, cost accruals, and deferred/accrued income.
  8. Annual Audit Support: Support annual audit preparation and delivery.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
  2. Strong Excel skills, with experience handling large datasets
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly interpret and understand financial information
  4. Project accounting experience desirable
  5. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
