About the Role: Young Adults Resilience Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Young Adults Resilience Worker to join our Knowsley Service. This role is integral to engaging young adults in a range of interventions, utilizing a person-centered approach and empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience, and lead safe, happy, and healthy lives.

You will play a vital role in:

  • Engaging young adults in meaningful ways that empower them to access ongoing support.
  • Collaboratively assessing needs and developing comprehensive support packages for young adults, including brief interventions, harm reduction strategies, one-on-one sessions, group therapy, and clinical support.
  • Conducting thorough service user assessments and creating individualized care plans that clearly outline how achieving each goal will contribute to addressing substance use and related outcomes.
  • Working closely with the service's Safeguarding Lead to ensure all issues and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Carrying out risk assessments and developing effective risk management plans.
  • Being responsive to the needs of young adults, ensuring interventions are accessible by facilitating home visits, collaborating with colleges and universities, and adapting to diverse situations.

About You:

  • You have experience working with young people and/or young adults.
  • You possess a strong understanding of the challenges facing young people today.
  • You are knowledgeable about safeguarding concerns related to children, young people, and adults.
  • You have a good understanding of drug and alcohol issues.
  • You excel at building strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • You have experience working with young people/young adults who use substances.
  • You are comfortable delivering training to diverse audiences in various settings.
