Job Title: Lecturer in Business Psychology

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Business Psychology to join our team at Global Banking School. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, plan, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and other teaching and learning activities as required by the Faculty.
  2. Design assessments and assess student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
  3. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  4. Provide academic support and guidance to students as necessary.
  5. Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate and necessary.
  6. Keep up to date with best practice in teaching and learning, and ensure that your teaching reflects best practice and embeds technologies that enhance the learning experience.
  7. Contribute to the design, development, delivery, review, and enhancement of programmes of study within the Faculty and across GBS as a whole.
  8. Attend meetings as required, and develop productive working relationships within the various teams you will be engaged with.
  9. Participate in internal and external events, such as programme reviews, open days, outreach activities, and partner and internship visits.
  10. Undertake a reflective programme of staff development which includes teaching observations, directed study, workshop participation, and experiential learning.
  11. Support and engage in the creation, application, and/or dissemination of new knowledge in your field of study and/or in higher education practice.
  12. Participate in the GBS performance management programme, meeting a range of clearly defined objectives for student outcomes, student satisfaction, retention, and attendance.
  13. Act as a Module Leader or undertake other administrative/management duties, commensurate with the level of the appointment, and as determined by the Dean.
  14. Take on other responsibilities as required to support the work of GBS, which may include acting in a more senior capacity as part of a programme of professional development.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Attributes:
  1. Hold a Master's (preferably in Business Psychology) and preferably a doctoral level qualification in your field, or be able to demonstrate success at an equivalent level professionally.
  2. Have a passion for education as a transformative activity.
  3. Have experience of, and a passion for, working in widening access environments.
  4. Have experience of teaching in higher education.
  5. Have experience of supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  6. Have experience with distance learning and supporting learners both face-to-face and remotely.
  7. Demonstrate professional conduct in all interactions with staff and students.
  8. Have extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  9. Demonstrate attention to detail and accurate reporting.
  10. Be able to maintain thorough and organised student records.
  11. Be able to work under pressure, plan, and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
  12. Be highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  13. Exhibit excellent communication skills.
  14. Be able to work with diverse groups of people.
  15. Be able to demonstrate industry experience in the field of Business Psychology.
