About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join our team at Barclays. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of external regulatory reports for offshore legal entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and review regulatory returns, adhering to internal and external deadlines, and ensuring all reports comply with current accounting and regulatory guidelines.
  • Financial Operations: Manage the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, and report on these risks to senior colleagues.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure no fraudulent misreporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Financial Systems: Manage the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, including collaboration with IT colleagues.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to authorities, and provide support to other departments in their preparation and review of regulatory reports.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, building a network of contacts outside the team and external to the organization.

  • Technical Skills: Leverage extensive technical knowledge to address regulatory reporting matters, ensuring all processes are executed to the highest standards.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate a strong understanding of business operations and financial management principles.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure seamless collaboration and information exchange.
