About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nurse to join our Assessments Division as a Functional Assessor. In this role, you will carry out telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to gather information about a person's condition and its impact on their daily life
  • Produce factual reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions determine eligibility for benefits
  • Work with a diverse range of customers and handle challenging situations
  • Develop clinical knowledge and hone assessment skills

Requirements

  • NMC registered nurse with 1 year's broad post-registration experience
  • Proactive and keen to learn
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working towards individual and team targets in a supportive environment
