About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our Assessments Division as a Functional Assessor. In this role, you will use your clinical expertise to conduct assessments and produce reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine eligibility for benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.
  • Produce factual reports to support the DWP's decision-making process.
  • Work with a diverse range of customers and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.

Requirements

  • NMC registered nurse with 1 year's broad post-registration experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work towards individual and team targets in a supportive environment.
  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health.
