Job Description

Bucks & Berks Recruitment PLC is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and planning, with experience in controlling, provisioning, budgeting, and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop reports and databases to support the production of monthly management information for Group and Management reporting.
  • Develop and maintain simulation models and systems to profile business activity for risk provisioning and production of forecasts, annual budgets, and ad-hoc plans.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly reports for submission to Head-Quarters.
  • Prepare detailed variance analysis of actual performance compared to budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of local operational and accounting data against head office data.
  • Work closely with all departments to obtain detailed knowledge of business dynamics essential to reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Act as backup for main regular activities of other teams in the Finance department.
  • Be the company's main liaison with Head Office and external auditors in areas relating to financial budgets, forecasts, variances, and management accruals and provisions.
Requirements:
  • Degree and membership of Professional Financial/Management Accounting body (intermediate stage).
  • Strong financial/business analysis background supported by relevant experience.
  • Proficient in the use of most common Windows applications, Excel in particular (advanced).
  • Experience of working with report generating software (such as Business Objects, SAP).
  • Academic/work experience have led to proficiency in common financial analysis tools including NPV, ROI, ROA, variance analysis, and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Comfortable working under pressure.
  • Strong logic and determination to support practical approach to multidimensional problem solving.
  • Inquisitive mind and natural disposition for quantitative analysis.
  • Shares openly ideas and opinions and is not afraid to lead change in the environment as well as adjusting to it.
