**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collection Officer to join our team at Belmont Recruitment. As a key member of our Assessment Hub, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional visiting support services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality visiting support services, working across the Assessment Hub as a pooled resource to ensure effective operation of the services.
- Perform collection/income-related and other council reductions and relief visits, providing technical assessment and collection advice and guidance to customers.
- Understand and respond to the needs of customers, offering written and verbal guidance while presenting a positive and professional image at all times.
- Experience of dealing with income-related and other claims, changes in circumstance, and other enquiries within a collection/assessment related environment, delivering high-quality services.
- A good understanding of collection, income-related assessments, and benefit services delivered across the Council.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of collection and assessment processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and locations.
