You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Music, Creative Industries, and Communications, as these areas currently host a significant portion of our project initiatives and innovative endeavors.
Your influence will extend throughout the entire department and beyond fundraising, as you partner with the Senior Creative Industries Projects Manager to guide teams in delivering exceptional projects and truly innovative activities.
Leveraging your experience from diverse cultural environments, you will ensure that the right names, emotions, ambitions, timing, and narratives are effectively integrated into all projects you oversee, grounding every aspect of project management in genuine innovation, creativity, and a deep understanding of the industry landscape.
You will take the lead in managing a variety of projects while supporting the execution of additional initiatives.
Your responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Senior Creative Industries Projects Manager to execute a range of cross-team fundraising events and initiatives, overseeing specific project aspects as agreed upon.
- Driving the delivery and strategic growth of major cornerstone projects and annual fundraisers, such as Secret 7. You will develop project plans, manage intricate budgets, and coordinate cross-team engagement, adapting priorities and resolving issues to maximize income.
- Overseeing the department's ecommerce platform with assistance from the Creative Industries Executive, which includes crafting creative campaigns and concepts, achieving annual income targets, developing bespoke product ranges, fostering cross-team collaboration, and managing various external stakeholder relationships to enhance shop income and achieve ambitious financial goals. You will utilize your initiative to make strategic recommendations based on your research and awareness of current ecommerce trends.
- Proactively researching, testing, and developing new fundraising initiatives across a spectrum of creative industries, including art, fashion, film, and theatre, playing a vital role in annual planning.
- Evaluating and enhancing existing income-generating projects, analyzing risks and opportunities to determine optimal pathways forward. Supporting the Senior Creative Industries Manager in generating new ideas and building relationships within the creative industries that align with the fundraising mission.
- Providing exemplary line management to the Creative Industries Executive.
- Managing relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels, diplomatically leading working groups and maintaining strong connections with colleagues and external partners to facilitate collaborative projects and events.
- Identifying and cultivating relationships with a variety of Creative Ambassadors, developing tailored cultivation plans that meet the needs of the Fundraising and Communications teams to enable sustainable growth.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the activities and income streams you manage.
- Championing the use of Salesforce to enhance team efficiency and collaborating with the data team to ensure effective integration of all Creative Industries into Salesforce.
- Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of War Child's current activities and serving as an advocate for the War Child brand.
- Ensuring consistency across all public-facing events and activations, specifically ensuring that:
- The WCUK brand is represented in a manner that reflects our on-the-ground work.
- Our delivery is of high quality, professional, and aligns with the expectations of key stakeholders.
- The public messaging for each event is clear and contributes to a broader narrative that makes sense.
Additionally, you will contribute to fostering a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults, ensuring compliance with WCUK's Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.
