Why We Need This Role

The Growth team plays a critical role in achieving Builder's ambitious growth targets. We're seeking a dynamic and highly skilled SEO Lead to join our team and scale our organic growth capabilities. As an SEO Lead, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing effective search engine optimization strategies to drive organic traffic, engagement, and conversion. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Content and Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, Product, Web Engineering, and Analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive search engine optimisation strategies to boost our search engine rankings and drive exponential growth for our products and services.
  • Monitor and analyse website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimisation.
  • Identify growth opportunities and innovative SEO tactics by exploring cutting-edge strategies and techniques, including semantic SEO and AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with content creators and digital marketing teams to develop and optimise high-quality, keyword-rich content for improved organic visibility.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal content performance.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research and SEO analysis to identify relevant target keywords and phrases.
  • Identify technical SEO issues and collaborate with the web development team to implement solutions for improved website performance and user experience.
  • Conduct SEO audits, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement and stay ahead of competitors in search rankings.
  • Track and analyse website traffic, user behaviour, and conversion rates to assess the effectiveness of SEO strategies and make data-driven recommendations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as an SEO lead/manager at a fast-growing technology company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Relevant SEO certifications (e.g., Google, HubSpot, and/or Semrush).
  • Expert knowledge of SEO best practices and techniques, and search technology.
  • A deep understanding of both the content strategy side of organic search and the technical optimisation side, being well-versed in scaling and setting up both for growth.
  • Knowledge of multi-format content distribution to drive organic traffic growth.
  • International SEO experience - working on global domains with multiple websites for different regions/languages that receive traffic from multiple search engines.
  • Knowledge of off-page and on-page optimisation techniques, outreach, and backlinking recommendations to grow organic search traffic and conversions.
  • Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner, and Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, local SEO, and SEO reporting tools.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and website optimisation platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to make data-driven decisions and test and learn quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams globally.
