Job Title: Chef - Bank

Barchester Healthcare is a leading healthcare provider with over 224 homes and hospitals across the UK. We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality, nutritious food to our residents.

About the Role:

As a Bank Chef, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food, create menus that cater to the needs of our residents, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, working within budget, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus and managing the kitchen
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality dishes
  • Help create a warm and welcoming environment in the kitchen
  • Manage stock control and complete regular audits
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team
Requirements:
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • A good understanding of nutrition and HACCP
