About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineering Designer to join our Community Development Engineering Team in London, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil engineering projects, working closely with our experts to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop civil engineering projects, including grading and servicing design, using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and professionals to complete projects under the direction of a senior engineer or project coordinator.
  • Perform basic calculations to analyze and design civil system components, ensuring design integrity, reliability, resource efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity, including data collection and gathering information to support design decisions.
  • Work with technical leads and appointed discipline leads to develop drawing production standards, templates, and details, and facilitate CAD software coaching and training.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or technical school diploma/certificate in a Civil Designer program.
  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience in civil engineering design.
  • Advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts, including grading and servicing design.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas to others and interpret sketches, drawings, building programs, and other similar material.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
