At Barry Callebaut, we are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Manager to join our UK&I team. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for translating global and regional marketing strategies into local actions and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement local marketing strategies to support the realization of commercial targets for the country cluster.
  • Coordinate and execute marketing activities, including product launches, segment campaigns, digital activities, events, and PR, on a local level.
  • Manage the local Gourmet marketing budget to maximize return-on-investment.
  • Set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Track and evaluate performance using analytical tools and use insights to optimize marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with sales, chefs, ambassadors, creatives, and agencies to create and adapt local sales training and customer communication tools.
  • Manage all visual marketing tools for all Gourmet brands, including managing all catalogues, brochures, merchandise, and event kits.
  • Develop annual trade marketing plans for key distributor customers, including advising on communication channel mix and briefing creative teams.
  • Manage external agencies and freelancers to deliver campaigns and activations on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with Global and Regional Digital Marketing to implement local digital activities.
  • Organize the execution of trade events, such as distributor fairs, chef gatherings, and supporting gourmet customer days.
  • Offer local market insights by attending and presenting at sales meetings and regular interactions with customers.
  • Manage relationships with professional associations, colleges/schools, and sponsorships.
About You:
  • Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, or Food Engineering or comparable.
  • English (full proficiency).
  • 3+ years of relevant working experience at manager level in brand management and/or trade marketing.
  • Relevant experience in the Food industry and/or FMCG.
  • Former experience/background in chocolate/cocoa/pastry is appreciated.
  • Strong business acumen: ability to translate consumer/customer insights into actionable plans.
  • Proven experience creating, managing, and evaluating multiple successful marketing campaigns end-to-end.
  • Confident project management skills, managing multiple complex projects with autonomy.
  • Experience owning and managing annual marketing budgets and maximizing ROI.
  • Digital marketing experience, including experience with Content Management Systems and email marketing.
  • Desirable: Copywriting skills, passion for food/chocolate.
  • Inspiring and confident communicator; able to build strong internal and customer relationships, including senior stakeholders.
  • Confident leader for cross-functional groups of peers.
  • Persistent in translating vision into action with hands-on mentality.
  • Positive growth mindset; able to deal with ambiguity.
