Position Title: Interim Financial Reporting Specialist

Compensation: Up to £450 per day, outside IR35

As we strive to enhance our operational capabilities, we are in search of a proficient Financial Reporting Specialist to become a vital part of our finance division. This position is essential for maintaining the precision and reliability of our financial disclosures and regulatory compliance.

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Financial Reporting Specialist with a robust background in financial disclosures and technical accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have experience in a private equity-supported setting and the ability to address intricate accounting challenges across various locations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all applicable accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Prepare and scrutinize financial statements and reports to guarantee accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Offer technical accounting advice and assistance to the finance team and other divisions.
  • Support the rollout of new accounting standards and revisions.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial data and communicate insights to senior leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with external auditors to streamline the audit process.
  • Establish and uphold comprehensive accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist the finance team in developing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Engage in special projects as necessary, including financial due diligence for acquisitions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience; ACA big 4 experience is preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise and comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Experience in a comparable role within a private equity-backed or multi-location organization.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
