SEN Teacher (Autism) Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher (Autism) to join our team at a specialist school in Broadstairs. As a SEN Teacher (Autism), you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of students with Autism and other Special Educational Needs
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies to support students with challenging behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students with verbal and non-verbal communication needs, including the use of PECS
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's SEN policy and procedures
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with Autism and other Special Educational Needs
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
