Location: London

Lipton Media, a leading independent media events organization, is on the lookout for a talented Event Operations Coordinator to manage a portfolio of prominent exhibitions. This position offers opportunities for travel, primarily within Europe, approximately three times a year.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, enthusiastic, and highly organized professional with substantial experience in managing in-person, live business events, particularly exhibitions.

As the Event Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for the comprehensive delivery of both large-scale and smaller events.

Key Responsibilities: Event Operations Coordinator

  • Overseeing the delivery of conference events, ensuring full accountability for the operational management of all events, including enhancing customer experiences and onsite engagement.
  • Maximizing the profitability, sustainability, and quality of each event through strategic procurement practices.
  • Project managing events while controlling costs to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Managing the end-to-end execution of events of varying sizes, formats, and complexities across diverse locations.
  • Ensuring compliance and risk management at events, including adherence to security protocols and conducting thorough risk assessments.
  • Handling ad-hoc projects as directed by senior management, contributing to departmental and event-related initiatives.

Required Profile: Event Operations Coordinator

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event management, specifically in exhibitions.
  • Strong negotiation and contracting skills with venues and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of risk policies affecting international events, including compliance with VAT, modern slavery, anti-bribery, trade sanctions, data protection, and security frameworks.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to identify challenges and creatively evaluate solutions.
  • A self-motivated team player with strong decision-making capabilities and a focus on achieving results.
