Work Location: Homewood Care Home, Andover
Hours per week: 30
Contract type: Permanent
Closing Date: Not specified

The Role:

We're proud to work with individuals with learning disabilities at Homewood Care Home. As a Residential Services Officer, you'll play a vital role in providing personalized support, enabling people to engage in meaningful activities within our safe and comfortable environment.

Each individual has unique physical, mental, social, and emotional needs. You'll appreciate this diversity and use a person-centred approach to focus on their strengths, promoting independence and tailoring support to the individual. This will include assisting with daily living tasks, medication management, personal care, and communication.

We strive to share our culture of care, respect, and independence with everyone who uses our service, adopting an inclusive approach in everything we do.

Take a look at our Candidate Pack for more information about the role, team, and our values. The section 'About you' explains what specific knowledge, skills, and experience we're looking for. Please ensure you explain how you meet these requirements and demonstrate our values in your application.

You'll have experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and a strong understanding of their needs. Experience in enabling and providing care in a respite or residential service environment would be an advantage. Most importantly, you'll demonstrate our core values, showing patience, empathy, and compassion, and share our commitment to enabling people to lead full and active lives as independently as possible.

We're looking for a strong team player with excellent communication skills for building positive relationships and collaboration skills for working in partnership with a diverse range of people, including individuals, families, and carers, as well as other professionals and colleagues.

In return, we offer a comprehensive induction programme, so you'll have all the training you need to excel in this role. You'll also get great satisfaction from supporting individuals to get the most out of their stay with us. We're committed to your personal development and can support you to undertake a QCF/Apprenticeship in a care-related subject.

As this is a 24/7 service, you'll be required to work a shift pattern to respond to the demands of the service. Your working pattern will include working bank holidays, every other weekend, and a variety of shifts, including early, late, and sleep-in shifts.
