Lead Clinical Cardiac Physiologist

We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Cardiac Physiologist to lead our team in providing advanced diagnostic services in Complex Diagnostics. As a key member of our Cardiology department, you will be responsible for planning and implementing operational policies and procedures, extending our services in Cardiac Physiology, and supporting specialized consultants in service delivery and resource management.
Key Responsibilities- Perform highly specialized cardiac ultrasound investigations, including adult transthoracic, contrast, and bubble study echocardiograms, 3D echocardiograms, and dobutamine stress echocardiograms.
- Assist with transoesophageal echocardiograms, perform accurate and reproducible measurements and quantification, interpret findings, and issue final clinically diagnostic reports.
- Lead quality assurance in attaining clinical governance standards for Cardiac Physiology, manage Cardiac Physiology audit programs, and provide monthly data as requested.
- Supervise and train junior staff, including echocardiographers, and participate in organizational and supervisory issues.
- Perform administrative, environmental, and housekeeping tasks as required.
- BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology or BSc in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or equivalent.
- Transthoracic (TTE) Level 2 accreditation by the British Society of Echocardiography or Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography Certification by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI).
- Knowledge and experience of advanced and highly specialized procedures acquired through accredited courses.
- Able to perform a range of specialist diagnostic investigations on patients in various clinical settings.
