Opportunity for a Band 7 Team Leader Radiographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Therapy Radiographer to join our Radiotherapy department at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust as a Band 7 Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of radiographers and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The Band 7 Team Leader Radiographer will be accountable for their own professional actions and will be recognized as an expert and team leader in their specific field. They will plan and deliver complex radiotherapy procedures to a wide range of benign and malignant conditions to a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of radiographers and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Plan and deliver complex radiotherapy procedures to a wide range of benign and malignant conditions
  • Work autonomously within the legal, ethical, and professional framework provided by the professional body
  • Develop and implement best practices in radiotherapy treatment
Requirements
  • BSc in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent formal qualification
  • Health & Care Profession Council (HCPC) registration as a Therapy Radiographer
  • Minimum of 4 years postgraduate experience with specialist training, knowledge, and experience to master's level or equivalent
  • Practical experience in delivering a wide range of radiotherapy techniques, including IGRT, SABR, DIBH/Gated treatments, and leadership experience
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Postgraduate courses in management/leadership or other relevant clinical subjects
  • Clinical experience in dosimetric planning and virtual simulation
