Materials Coordinator

As a Materials Controller at Meridian Business Support, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials within our production environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:- Organizing and issuing materials to the manufacturing area to meet production schedules.
- Maintaining accurate records of all materials and finished goods produced to ensure traceability.
- Collaborating with engineers to ensure build standard integrity is maintained and contributing to the creation and update of the Master Production Schedule.
- Coordinating the return to vendor of faulty or incorrect materials and working with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Generating and managing works orders for new build and repair activities to ensure timely completion.
- Monitoring inventory levels to ensure materials are available in line with production schedules.
- Preparing shipping documentation and coordinating with freight forwarders/couriers to ensure timely delivery.
- Processing customer repairs and monitoring shelf life product to prevent expiration.
- Managing Government furnished assets and controlling and reporting on inventory levels.
- Liaising with external suppliers and customers to resolve issues and improve relationships.
- Managing inventory levels and resolving SAP system issues to ensure smooth operations.
