Associate Director for Psychological Therapies

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team as an Associate Director for Psychological Therapies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership for all psychological therapies staff within the Care Network and across the Trust, with a specific focus on Older Adult services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical and professional advice on psychological practice and ensure the delivery of high-quality psychological services across the Trust.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and effectiveness of psychological therapies services, including the development of new interventions and approaches.
- Lead on the development of psychological approaches and interventions to support care delivery across the Care Network and across the Trust for Older Adults.
- Ensure that arrangements are in place for the effective clinical and professional supervision of staff in the Care Network, including professional appraisal and the identification of CPD needs.
- Represent the profession or service in local policy forums and contribute to the development of local policy and guidelines.
- Good honours degree in psychology.
- Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology, as accredited by the BPS.
- HCPC registered as a practitioner psychologist (clinical).
- Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
- Experience of working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist within Older Adult services.
- Experience of effective multi-agency and disciplinary team working and networking.
- Experience of clinical and professional management of qualified and pre-qualified clinical psychologists and other psychological therapists.
- Experience of teaching, training, and/or professional and clinical supervision.
