Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterologist to join our team at Waitemata District Health Board. As a specialist in gastroenterology, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our gastroenterology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders using endoscopy and other diagnostic techniques
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students and junior doctors
Requirements
  • FRACP qualification and registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Proven experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
