Nurse Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Associate to join our Adult Community Eating Disorders Team in Bedfordshire and Luton. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality support to patients with severe and complex eating disorders, working closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and dietitians to deliver intensive treatment and prevent hospital admissions.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate medical monitoring clinics to assess the physical health of service users.
- Undertake assessments of routine and urgent cases referred to the Community Eating Disorders Service.
- Develop collaborative care plans with service users, carers, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Deliver physical and mental health interventions to support recovery and care.
- Monitor and review physical and mental health needs and risks, ensuring safe management and referral of individuals with escalating risks.
- Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification.
- Post-qualification training in psychosocial interventions and working with people with disordered eating.
- Experience in working with people with severe and enduring mental illness, including those requiring assessment and management under the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
