Are you a seasoned Quantity Surveyor eager to elevate your professional journey? Our client, a reputable construction firm specializing in Groundworks & Earthworks, is on the lookout for a proficient Quantity Surveyor to become part of their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from their initial stages through to final account settlements, ensuring optimal project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Key Duties:

  • Manage payment applications, including evaluating variations and their financial implications.
  • Negotiate interim payment figures with stakeholders and monitor payment schedules.
  • Collaborate with contracts managers and operational leaders on project budgets.
  • Oversee monthly reporting and cost value reconciliation activities.
  • Track budget performance and cost forecasts on a monthly basis.
  • Handle subcontractor relationships from inquiries to final accounts.
  • Assist in tender processes and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Provide commercial insights and resolve issues for contracts managers.
  • Conduct site visits for variation assessments and maintain precise records.
  • Lead and mentor teams, offering performance feedback and guidance.
  • Build and nurture client relationships to enhance the company's standing.
  • Generate clear commercial reports that reflect contractual performance.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possesses a degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Exhibits strong commercial awareness and exceptional communication abilities.
  • Familiar with standard contract forms such as JCT.
  • A collaborative team player capable of thriving under pressure.
  • Skilled in MS Office and financial software applications.
  • Brings prior experience in Quantity Surveying roles, ideally within demolition or enabling works.
  • Experienced in managing subcontractors and procurement processes.
  • Holds a valid UK Driving Licence.
