Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:
Skilled Careers is pleased to announce a vacancy for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in a commercial team of a stable and profitable, family-owned Tier 1 Main Contractor. The company has seen a huge amount of growth this year while achieving amazing profit margins year after year. They currently have multiple live projects in and around London within their London Cut and Carve Division with values from £30m up to £100m.

Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Project Commercial Manager on a £50m Commercial Cut and Carve project in London. Developing and encouraging project team performance, ensuring that main contractual obligations and strategies are executed and regularly reviewed. Completing and submitting monthly CVR and progress reports. Demonstrating understanding of internal and external tender strategies, working to the profit plan. Agreeing external valuations and cash flow to maximise project value. Agreeing and producing main and subcontract final accounts.

Requirements:
6+ years experience in quantity surveying. Ability to work under pressure, run own project. Commercial experience is essential. Cut and Carve/refurbishment/Fit-Out experience is ideal. Degree in Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Management. Strong communication skills, confident in report writing and actively engaging in meetings.

The company is a family-owned Tier 1 Main Contractor turning over £1bn a year. They have been selected to search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a stable and profitable contractor. The role is a hybrid role, where you will be based predominantly on the site in London but also with the opportunity to work from home. The company is looking for someone to join their commercial team and contribute to the success of their projects.
