Construction Cost Manager

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial aspects of our projects are well-managed and controlled. This includes liaising with pre-construction teams to receive contract documentation, procuring subcontract works, and preparing final accounts.
Key Tasks- Liaise with pre-construction teams to receive full contract documentation and ensure all necessary information is obtained.
- Procure subcontract works and manage the associated costs.
- Prepare and agree subcontract final accounts, ensuring all parties are satisfied with the outcome.
- Release retentions as appropriate, working closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure timely payments.
- Monitor all project costs, including preliminaries, design fees, utility fees, subcontract costs, and materials.
- Assist Contract Managers in preparing preliminary budgets for Director approval and targeting.
- Produce detailed quarterly forecasts and cashflows to ensure accurate financial planning.
- Report on a monthly basis, providing cost value reconciliations and discussing provisions with Managing Surveyors.
- Prepare applications for payment in liaison with the Client's Representative, including a projected final account sum.
- Ensure interim certificates are received in accordance with the contract terms and monitor any non-receipt of payment from the Client.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and the project runs smoothly.
- Keep the Site Team informed of the financial position of the project.
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in contract administration and cost management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with JCT Forms of Contracts, NEC, and PPC200 contracts, as well as partnering frameworks.
