School Caretaker

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled School Caretaker to join our team at Aberdeenshire Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality caretaker services to schools and buildings within our Community School Network.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake caretaker services to schools and buildings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement, benefiting the Service and the organisation.
• Provide relief services as and when required, mainly evenings with possible need at weekends.
• Ensure compliance with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act and undergo the necessary pre-employment checks.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high standard of service delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum requirement of one reference from your current or most recent employer.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
