Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer - Functional Safety to join our rapidly growing team at Forseven. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with your Functional Safety and other engineering colleagues to perform various analyses and prepare documentation in accordance with ISO 26262.

About the Role

  • Deliver work products specified within the Functional Safety Plan in accordance with Forseven's processes.
  • Create Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARAs), Safety Concepts, Safety Requirements, Test Specifications, and other relevant documents/analyses.
  • Perform Confirmation Reviews, where appropriate.
  • Attend sub-system design reviews as necessary to resolve functional safety concerns.
  • Attend meetings with suppliers and Technical Partners as required, ensuring they are delivering in accordance with their Development Interface Agreement (DIA).
  • Perform system review, vehicle integration, verification & validation activities, including Safety Goal Validation and other tests throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support junior team members.

Requirements

  • Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic or Automotive Engineering related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the structure and key concepts of ISO 26262.
  • Articulate, self-motivated, and keen to learn.
  • Dynamic and pro-active attitude to problem solving.
  • Passionate about vehicle functional safety and aware of current automotive trends.
  • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), FMEA, and/or Fault Tree Analyses.
  • Awareness of ISO 21434 Cybersecurity.
