Position Overview: A Corporate Legal Advisor with substantial experience in commercial contracts within procurement or supply chain operations is sought by Logic Engagements to support our global consumer goods client. This role involves providing comprehensive legal guidance to Global Procurement (GP) initiatives and related functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer legal counsel to the global procurement team on contractual matters, ensuring effective negotiation of high-value agreements that affect multiple markets or jurisdictions.
  • Deliver tailored training sessions, resources, and templates to both procurement and in-market legal teams at regular intervals.
  • Provide legal assistance on various matters, including reputation management, group litigation, and regulatory compliance as necessary.
  • Act as the designated legal support for specific project teams, maintaining sole accountability for particular procurement stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer with admission to practice in England & Wales, Scotland, Ireland, or a commonwealth jurisdiction, possessing a minimum of 5 years of in-house commercial experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial supply chain and procurement contracts is essential.
  • Experience in construction or capital expenditure projects is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to work occasionally in various locations as required.
  • Ability to convey legal concepts in a clear and practical manner, demonstrating a commercial and pragmatic approach.
  • Strong understanding of compliance risks, intellectual property, antitrust, and data privacy laws, with the ability to engage specialist subject matter experts when necessary.
  • Proficient in identifying and assessing legal, reputational, operational, and strategic risks, facilitating effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring consistent consultation and collaboration.
