Engineering Director – Change Leadership Role
Overview:We are seeking a visionary leader to drive continuous improvement across all maintenance processes, acting as a catalyst for change and defining the Maintenance Service for the plant.
This strategic thinker will lead multi-skilled maintenance teams, promoting a culture of operational excellence and leveraging their experience to ensure cost efficiency and the implementation of performance-driven KPIs.
The successful candidate will be accountable for establishing and executing the Engineering Strategy, ensuring alignment with Safety, Quality, Throughput, and Cost targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and implement a flexible, efficient organizational structure that meets the evolving needs of the plant.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and enhance the performance and efficiency of the engineering function.
- Drive measurable improvements in team performance, ensuring objectives and KPIs are consistently met.
- Oversee and enhance the plant's Planned Predictive Maintenance (PPM) schedules, ensuring machine availability is maximized, and unnecessary maintenance is minimized.
- Implement Condition Monitoring to reduce costs from secondary damage and extend equipment life.
- Manage consignment of critical spare parts to balance risk and cost effectively.
- Ensure the safety and compliance of the engineering team and contractors on site, adhering to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards.
- Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Over 10 years of leadership experience, managing diverse engineering teams and promoting a culture of operational excellence.
- Demonstrable experience leading large-scale capital projects from conception to completion.
- Practical engineering knowledge with the ability to understand and empathise with technical challenges and team concerns.
- Strong project management skills, consistently delivering within time and budget constraints.
