Job Summary:

  • To develop and execute a sales strategy in the primary area of the NHS, focusing on procurement, clinical departments, and ward environments.
  • To drive sales growth and increase revenue by developing and executing sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with customers.
  • To represent the company and establish long-term customer relationships in the client's flagship region, ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences.
  • To provide regular reports and documentation to ensure visibility of regional potential and to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow existing and new customers through proactive, planned individual account support, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop and implement a regional territory plan in collaboration with the National Sales Manager to achieve regional sales targets and maximize revenue potential.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage quotations, samples, and close new business, ensuring accurate CRM data and timely follow-up.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers, promoting the company's brand and products through proactive, planned sales visits and appointments.
  • Take ownership of regional revenue and capital pipelines, accurately logging all information to ensure maximum potential is centrally logged and the business can support and deliver on opportunities.
  • Support regional forecasting by proactively using CRM opportunities and engaging with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Handle customer complaints efficiently and professionally, addressing minor faults and providing feedback on customer satisfaction and product improvements.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and strategies, reporting on key findings to inform business decisions.
  • Record all customer details and sales activities via the company's business systems, adhering to expectations and requirements.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and customer product training as required, promoting the company's brand and products.
  • Attend office meetings, exhibitions, and sales meetings as requested, representing the company and promoting its interests.
  • Promote the company's brand name and any other products supplied by the client, ensuring a consistent and professional image.
  • Liaise with internal departments as necessary, providing support and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Adhere to all procedures associated with the position, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake other duties and provide support as required, ensuring the smooth operation of the business.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to and enforced at all times.

Desired Skills:

  • Proven field sales experience, with a track record of managing a territory and driving sales growth.
  • Experience selling into the NHS, with a strong understanding of the sector and its challenges.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, with the ability to analyze data and inform sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Full driving license, with a clean driving record.

Package:

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus uncapped bonus (current payouts estimated between £6,500 - £8,500). Benefits include a company car (hybrid), laptop, phone, and expenses.
