The British Red Cross is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Development and Grants Manager to design, deliver, and manage impactful programmes funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and other UK Official Development Assistance (ODA) partners.
In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of grant management, from proposal development and submission to ongoing monitoring, reporting, and compliance with donor requirements. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of both emergency and long-term programmes aligned with FCDO priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of compelling grant proposals that align with FCDO funding objectives and strategic priorities.
- Manage a portfolio of FCDO-funded projects, ensuring effective financial management, timely reporting, and adherence to donor guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including programme staff, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including FCDO representatives, partner organisations, and beneficiaries.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in international development and grant management.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing and managing successful grant proposals for UK ODA funding.
- In-depth understanding of FCDO priorities, policies, and procedures.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor's degree in international development, public policy, or a related field.
