Model Validator Job Description

Citigroup Global Markets Limited is seeking a skilled Model Validator to join our team. As a Model Validator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage model risk across the model life-cycle, including model validation, ongoing performance evaluation, and annual model reviews.
  • Provide guidance to junior validators as needed.
  • Manage stakeholder interaction with model developers and business owners during the model life-cycle.
  • Assess and quantify model risk due to model limitations to inform stakeholders of their risk profile and development of compensating controls.
  • Contribute to strategic, cross-functional initiatives within the model risk organization.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in global risk management and proficiency in data analytics.
  • Solid relevant experience in a quantitative role in risk management at a financial institution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, with practical experience in software's like Python or SAS to build and test predictions.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of a variety of model development and validation testing techniques covering risk models.
  • Experience with project management and organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple projects at one time.
