Financial Accountant Job Description

Page Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Reigate. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  2. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time to ensure smooth financial operations.
  4. Budget Preparation: Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  5. Compliance and Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, and provide support during internal and external audits.
  6. Tax Compliance: Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments to avoid penalties and fines.
  7. Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of annual financial reports to provide stakeholders with accurate and timely financial information.
Requirements:
  1. Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
  2. Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, and Microsoft Excel.
  3. Education: May be working towards an Accountancy degree or equivalent qualification.
