Position Overview

We are seeking a junior Associate to become a part of our Corporate Team, collaborating with fellow Associates and Partners within the department.

This position provides the chance for early engagement with clients and hands-on experience in transactions.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist senior associates and partners in various transactions, managing components of deals including investments, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.
  • Engage in diverse work across the Corporate Team, focusing on private company mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, board advisory, partnerships, and restructuring.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for Business Development within our primary sectors is beneficial.

About the Corporate Team

  • Our Corporate team is recognized for its expertise in complex, high-value transactional and advisory work within the private capital sector.
  • We serve a diverse clientele, including investors, established entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals, international family offices, trust companies, professional partnerships, management teams, and individual executives.
  • Our specialization spans private wealth, financial services, property, education, and media sectors.
  • A significant portion of our corporate engagements involves offshore elements, frequently dealing with assets in various jurisdictions.

Key Duties

  • Engage in a dynamic mix of daily advisory tasks and transactional projects.
  • Support senior fee earners in preparing essential transaction documents and lead aspects such as due diligence, research, and transaction oversight.
  • Coordinate with the firm's prominent employment, tax, and commercial teams on investments and acquisitions.
  • Assume a vital support role to senior fee earners on transactional matters, operating with a degree of autonomy and managing transaction components effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 0-2 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge in corporate law, particularly in private company mergers and acquisitions and investments.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen interest in transactional work.
  • Solid academic credentials.
