About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Examiner to join our team at Pearson. As an Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our marking processes.

Responsibilities
  • Mark candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
  • Use ePEN, our online marking system, to mark scripts from the comfort of your own home.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times to ensure quality control.
  • Meet deadlines and ensure all administration is completed as specified.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, in the relevant qualification subject, since qualifying as a teacher.
  • Be a qualified teacher with a high level of subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and apply the mark scheme accurately.
