Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise the Mechanical Engineering and Product Change Control teams, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of designs and products.
- Oversee the implementation and management of engineering drawings, CAD models, PDM, and change control systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in mechanical design, performance, and system reliability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align the team's strategic vision with the company's business goals.
- Manage the design and development of products, including mechanical, thermal, environmental, and manufacturing aspects.
- Support product certification under relevant standards and contribute to the design of production line jigs, fixtures, and test stations.
- Lead the new 3DX/PLM implementation, ensuring alignment with global teams and processes.
- Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical and/or Production Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in product design and development, with expertise in mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge of implementing document management and change management systems, ideally 3DX/PLM.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within an engineering team.
- Familiarity with relevant safety standards (e.g., BSEN and design tools (e.g., FEA, injection molding, stress analysis).
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing engineering team.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Results-focused, with a business-led approach to achieving goals.
- Collaborative and able to work effectively across different teams and disciplines.
- A proactive problem-solver who embraces change and continuous improvement.
