Position: Multi-Trade Technician - Carpentry Focus

Location: Welwyn Garden City, covering surrounding areas

Salary: £35,387 - £37,249 annually

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are seeking a Multi-Trade Technician to join our dedicated team based in Welwyn Garden City. This role involves servicing properties across various postcodes, addressing a wide range of maintenance tasks from minor repairs to significant renovations. Responsibilities will also include preparing vacant properties for new occupants.

This position primarily involves independent work, although you will be part of a robust team of Multi-Trade Technicians and Electricians. A company vehicle and necessary tools will be provided for work-related tasks, along with ongoing training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute construction, repair, and maintenance tasks in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Address customer complaints and service disruptions promptly, ensuring effective communication throughout the resolution process.
  • Provide clear and timely updates to customers regarding the status of ongoing work.
  • Participate in our Out of Hours emergency response on a rotational basis, typically once every ten weeks (additional compensation provided).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • To comply with Building Safety regulations, candidates must possess or be pursuing NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade (carpentry, electrical). For plumbing roles, Level 3 qualifications, Unvented - G3 Certificate, and Water Regulations (WRAS) are necessary. Candidates with lower qualifications and relevant experience are encouraged to apply, provided they are willing to obtain the necessary certifications with our support.
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage workloads effectively, meet deadlines, and plan ahead.
  • A valid UK driving license is required for driving company vehicles.
