Join Our Cardiology Team as a Consultant
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiologist to join our team at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Cardiologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cardiology services.
About the Role
The successful candidate will join a friendly and enthusiastic team, working closely with our experienced cardiologists to provide an acute and elective cardiology service. You will be responsible for:
- Providing cardiology input for patients admitted by physicians and assuming ongoing responsibility for those needing intervention and specialist input.
- Conducting coronary care ward rounds and providing cardiology input for in-patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
- Working closely with our cardiac technical staff to provide non-invasive diagnostic services and running the pacing clinic.
- Participating in rapid access chest pain referrals and integrating them into our outpatient cardiology clinics.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register at the time of application via either CCT or CESR.
- An appropriate higher degree or qualification (MD, PhD or equivalent).
- Depth and breadth of clinical experience in Cardiology and General Medicine.
- Experience at locum or substantive consultant level.
- Evidence of teaching appropriate to medical students, doctors in training, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Postgraduate qualification in medical teaching.
