Role Overview:
We are on the lookout for enthusiastic, innovative, and committed Junior Security Analysts to bolster our Cybersecurity Services Team in Fleet, UK. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting cybersecurity assessments, risk evaluations, and phishing simulations to uncover threats and vulnerabilities within our systems.
- Generate comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and team members for mentorship and guidance.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency in assessments and reporting.
- Become proficient with specific security tools, mastering console and dashboard navigation.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies.
- Enhance skills through self-study, training, and mentorship from experienced analysts.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Document insights gained from assignments to improve incident response strategies.
- Exhibit adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within the team.
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Achieved a 2:1 or 1st in a technical discipline, along with good A-levels or equivalent qualifications.
- Familiarity with IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, and web application penetration testing tools.
- Understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework, Cyber Essentials Plus, and OWASP.
Skills Required:
- Genuine passion for IT and cybersecurity, keeping abreast of industry developments.
- Strong IT literacy encompassing both hardware and software.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for IT-related challenges.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize and manage dynamic workloads.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
