Location: Gillingham, Kent

As a vital member of our professional and compassionate team, your primary focus will be to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care in a clean and comfortable environment. Our organization is committed to providing prompt and effective treatment for all patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional upper and lower gastrointestinal services.
  • Perform procedures under local anaesthesia, with or without sedation.
  • Work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, including 36 hours dedicated to direct patient care and 4 hours for supporting activities, with flexibility to meet local service needs.

About the Hospital:

The Centre offers a variety of outpatient and elective day case services, including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, oral surgery, ENT, and general surgery. Facilities include five operating rooms, an endoscopy suite with a dedicated decontamination area, and eight post-anaesthetic care bays, along with four consulting and examination rooms.

The endoscopy service utilizes both Olympus and Fujinon endoscope systems, where you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures for both NHS and private patients.

Qualifications:

  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register.
  • Recognized experience in a specialist department managing upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Ability to provide expert clinical opinions on a range of elective gastroenterology issues, drawing from substantial specialty experience.
  • Capability to take full and independent responsibility for patient care.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a multi-professional team.
