Job Title: Senior Behavioral Researcher & Strategist

At Appleseed, we're on a mission to help impact organizations design solutions that stick. We're seeking a seasoned Senior Behavioral Researcher & Strategist to join our team as a Deputy role on upcoming projects in Madagascar, Rwanda, and Bangladesh. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with clients to uncover human insights, develop strategic recommendations, and drive behavior change.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, remote team doing hard things. As a Senior Behavioral Researcher & Strategist, you'll be responsible for delivering world-class service to our clients, preparing for and conducting investigative research in the field, analyzing data, and reporting insights. You'll also lead clients to internalize findings and accept recommendations, and provide guidance on lean experimentation.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct unbiased, qualitative ethnographic research in the field and remotely
  • Develop strategic recommendations based on research findings
  • Lead clients to internalize findings and accept recommendations
  • Provide guidance on lean experimentation
  • Manage client relationships and expectations
Requirements
  • Significant practical experience and theoretical knowledge in behavior change
  • Proven track record of delivering impact and client satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a small, remote team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience working with clients in diverse contexts and cultures
