Civil Engineer Job Description

Barker Associates is a leading property consultancy that offers a range of services, including architecture, project management, quantity surveying, engineering, and building surveying. We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team in Braintree, UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK, from concept design to construction.
  • Prepare calculations and technical design information to deliver innovative structural engineering solutions.
  • Liaise with project engineers, supervise and assist CAD technicians, and work closely with clients, architects, and other professionals.
  • Develop design ideas using AutoCAD/Civil3D/InfoDrainage and carry out site inspections.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute to the development of construction plans.
Requirements:
  • Post-graduation experience in residential, commercial, and educational developments.
  • Experience in reinforced concrete structures and drainage design is desirable.
  • Accredited MEng or BEng degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • A full clean driving licence and DBS Enhanced check.
