About the Room Leader position
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Room Leader at Stepping Stones Nursery, part of the MiChild Group. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for implementing the nursery curriculum, providing high standards of quality, and leading planning and record-keeping.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing the nursery curriculum and ensuring high standards of quality
- Leading planning and maintaining accurate and effective children's records
- Promoting and facilitating partnership with parents/carers and other family members
- Supporting the development of good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion
- Working with the Childcare and Education team to continuously improve the quality of childcare and education
- Ensuring children's safety and staff understanding of Safeguarding Procedures
- Ensuring nutritional needs of children are met and Food Safety Regulations are complied with
- Complying with relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and company policies and procedures
- Remaining abreast of current developments in childcare and education policy and practice
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualified
- Detailed understanding of Ofsted requirements
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families
- Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
- Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies
- Managing and maintaining administration requirements
