Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer

White Label Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Greater Manchester. As a key player in the company's engineering department, you will be responsible for delivering engineering projects on time and on budget.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative design solutions in collaboration with the design team
  • Review and approve technical drawings
  • Prepare technical documents, including specifications, reports, and manuals
  • Conduct hardware development and testing
  • Compile technical documents and test specifications
  • Interpret technical specifications and requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers and represent the company at customer review meetings
  • Provide support to production, test, and field engineering teams, as well as the sales team with bids and quotations
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in design, testing, and development of mechanical systems
  • Medium to heavy engineering experience
  • Understanding of the behavior of large welded and bolted mechanical structures
  • Experience in designing systems from original concept design to production, with a lead role
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS package and analysis tools
  • Hands-on 3D CAD design expertise
  • Knowledge of Access and Teamcenter
The Package:
  • Up to £52k
  • 37 hour working week, with 2 days per week from home and flexible working hours
  • 25 days holiday
  • 7% employer paid pension – uncapped for the employee
