Rate of Pay: per Day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and expertise to design and deliver large-scale transformation programmes, aligning with the Medium-Term Financial Plan (MTFP) and driving new ways of working to achieve additional efficiencies, increased productivity, and improved service delivery.
  • Lead the Children's Services Transformation and Service Development function, overseeing a team of project managers.
  • Collaborate with Senior Responsible Officers and operational leads to define programmes and individual projects, capturing benefits and constraints, including time, cost, scope, quality, resources, and risks.
  • Establish programme governance, ensuring relevant governance is embedded across the organisation for programmes and projects from conception to launch and in-flight.
  • Develop and monitor project planning, activity coordination, and budget alignment across Children Services transformation programmes.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Programme Management or substantial relevant Children's Services or Social Care experience.
  • Prince 2 or equivalent Project or Programme Management qualification.
  • Proven experience in successful programme or project management in a similar environment.

  • This role requires an enhanced DBS.
