About the Role

Award-winning Ashdown Group is seeking an exceptional Nursery Manager to lead our team of dedicated early years educators in the Essex area. As a key member of our nursery group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, play-based education that fosters children's development in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, delivery, and assessment of a high-quality curriculum that adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures related to safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety are strictly followed, creating a safe and compliant environment for children and staff.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring they are actively involved in their child's learning and implementing strategies to attract new families and maintain a positive reputation for the nursery.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of a dedicated team of early years educators, promoting continuous professional development and ensuring a motivated workforce.
  • Oversee the nursery's financial performance, including budgeting, invoicing, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Requirements
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within an Early Years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • A deep understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and childcare regulations.
  • Financial management experience, including budget control and reporting.
