Job Title: Estates Technician Electrical or Mechanical

We are seeking a skilled Estates Technician to join our team at Transformation Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing semi-skilled maintenance tasks and checks, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks for Water, Fire, Ventilation, Electrical, and Building Fabric.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks and checks to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and quality standards.
  2. Install, maintain, service, and repair a range of estates services equipment across all areas of responsibility.
  3. Act as a Competent Person in at least one of the following areas: Water, Electrical, Ventilation, Lifts, Fire, Medical Gas, Pressure System, or other estate-related areas.
  4. Build relationships with stakeholders and external service providers to support the delivery of services in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • City and Guilds Electrical Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification.
  • Health and Safety certificate.
  • Experience working within a relevant facilities/maintenance environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a customer-oriented environment.
  • Ability to use CAFM systems and handheld technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and codes of practice applicable to own discipline within estates maintenance in a healthcare setting.
